The Director, Resort Marketing is primarily in place to manage, direct and lead all resort and experiential vacation marketing activities across the portfolio of ICE brands. Marketing activities including web merchandizing, e-mail, e-comm, virtual messaging and direct mail, should be directed to drive demand in high quality inbound calls for resort and experiential vacation sales. The Director, Resort Marketing will lead marketing inventory, pricing requirements and pricing strategies, consistent with Sales and RBD requirements and ultimately approved by Finance. This person will also have shared P&L responsibility to ensure profitable growth.
- To drive demand in high quality inbound calls and online traffic for resort and experiential vacation sales.
- To support resort and experiential vacation partners with marketing tactics, collateral and initiatives to meet resort and experiential vacation operating plan and P&L.
- To manage the web site and related e-comm merchandising activities to maximize exposure for resort and experiential vacation products.
- Coordinate internal resources to meet resort and experiential vacation P&L and objectives.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: 8 to 10 years of experience in managing Travel industry and/or membership marketing, including specific resort, destination and experiential vacation marketing, web-based marketing and sophisticated e-comm marketing of travel. Tour Operator/Wholesaler and Timeshare experience a plus.
Organizing, managing and leading sophisticated marketing initiatives/campaigns that result in a large inbound call volumes and online traffic. Hands-on management style that demonstrates results directly to key management direct reports. Passion and proven track record for exceeding results, team building and cross functional management cooperation. PC & Web software proficiency, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, e-mail, etc.
