John McCarthy Joins International Cruise & Excursions Board of Directors

Mexican Tourism Official Brings International Insight to Phoenix-Based Vacation Group

PHOENIX (October 28, 2005) – John McCarthy, general director of Mexico's National Trust Fund for Tourism Development, has been appointed to the board of directors of International Cruise & Excursions, Inc. (ICE). McCarthy brings a wealth of tourism-related knowledge and experience to the board.

In his position with the National Trust, or FONATUR as it is known in Mexico, since 2000, McCarthy is part of the expanded cabinet of the Mexican presidency. FONATUR leads the development of tourism in Mexico by planning new offerings, encouraging private investment, coordinating government activities and supporting private tourism companies.

McCarthy was a professor at the Universidad Anahuac del Sur in Mexico City and served on the board of its School of Tourism. He was also appointed chief executive office of the Tourism Division of Bancomer, Mexico's largest bank.

In addition to serving on the ICE board, McCarthy is chairman of Mexico's National Tourism Business Council and sits on the board of the Mexican Tourism Promotion Board. He has served as a board member of the Presidente Intercontinental Hotels, Club Med, Huatulco and Raintree Resorts International.
