Phoenix, Arizona - September 15, 2004 - CruiseFYI, a leader in the online cruise
community and the original private-branded cruise store, today announced that it will
contribute to The Salvation Army Disaster Relief Fund to aid in the Florida recovery
efforts for the hurricane aftermath which has caused billions of dollars in damage across
the state of Florida. CruiseFYI will donate $100 for every online seven-day or longer
cruise booking and $50 for every call-in seven-day or longer booking now through
December 31. The funds will support The Salvation Amy disaster-response teams
providing assistance to communities hit by the storms.
"CruiseFYI and its employees have come together in this time of crisis to assist this
excellent organization that will help those victims get back on their feet," said Ted
Davault, CruiseFYI/OVS president. "We wanted to provide this necessary and vital
community service by helping the victims and their communities."
The Salvation Army, an international Christian social service organization and a
recognized leader in disaster response, also provides free assistance. Because of its broad
geographical presence, the Army is a first responder to disasters wherever they occur, and
is often the last organization to leave a recovery scene. Donations to the Army's efforts,
earmarked "Disaster Relief," may be sent to your local Salvation Army or made online at
www.salvationarmyusa.org or by phone at 1-800-SAL-ARMY.
