In addition, these programs required ICE to develop points-based currency conversion software and to deliver cruise and resort benefits through an automated fulfillment platform for its business partners and as part of its own vacation fulfillment operation. This was a key milestone, as it armed ICE with a proprietary software platform for the delivery of high quality vacation based products and unique and powerful strategic relationships with key product/inventory providers in the cruise and resort markets.
ICE’s commitment to technology driven products and services and its client-based business partnering approach soon opened up significant new opportunities with existing and new business partners inside and outside of the travel market. Corporate partners and consumers that enjoyed the vacation experiences provided by ICE soon requested the addition of high quality hotels, full service travel benefits and lifestyle activities worldwide, in order to fulfill their expanding vacation and leisure related requests. ICE exceeded those expectations with the addition of more than 130,000 resort and hotel options, a full-service travel platform and its newest innovation, the Lifestyle Collection.
The introduction of the Lifestyle Collection started a new era for ICE in that ICE now provides a complete suite of fully branded travel and leisure products and services to its business partners: cruise, resort, air, car, hotel, tour/experiential vacations, golf, ski, spa, wine, shopping/merchandise, entertainment, and more. The integration of these benefits with key partners globally and the addition of unique new bundling and incentive-based lifestyle options poised ICE for extraordinary growth for many years to come.
